BookMooch.com: Trade books. Free! This can be quite a good source for books.
Linux: Linux deserves a whole page of links. A free operating system (with its flaws, admittedly). I quite like it. (Currently using Ubuntu, but I often have different distributions running on different machines.)
Plone: The new version of my webpages is being built on Plone (itself built on Zope and Python). It takes a bit of learning, but seems quite a worthwhile way to do things. Certainly easier than doing everything by hand - though I've not yet figured out how best to automate building a bunch of pages that are pretty much the same.
booksprice.com: Compare prices on books. I've only done a couple of searches here, but the results look good - I haven't followed up with any purchases though.
amazon: While I suspect few have managed to miss amazon.com, it is a great place to buy books and music. Often has the best prices around. I do wish, though, that they'd be a little less aggressive with trying to push unrelated (and completely unwanted) things on me with ads on so, so many pages.
